My names Pamela and I'm a junior in high-school.
I love to draw like most people on this site especially cartoons and animals. I'm trying to learn how to draw realistic animals but I still love to draw cartoons.
I'm a big disney girl as I'm sure you've noticed so 99.9% of my stuff will be Disney fan-art. I think Disney is one of the cartoons out there that doesn't turn your brain to mush when you see it. The graphics, the music, the story-line, its all amazing and thats why I love drawing from it.

So while I was at a meeting in Minnesota for work, my co-workers and I were talking about the Disney films and my co-worker named Rebecca pointed out to me that none of the mothers in the disney films play a big role. Either they
A)Die pretty early.
B)Are evil
C)Just aren't even mentioned.
I thought about it and I couldn't find any movie that had a mother play part. Only the Aristocats had the mom play a big role, and Simba's mom had a small role in the Lion King, and in Sleeping Beauty she had her mom but otherwise thats it.
In the Little Mermaid, no mom. In Aladdin just a dad. Bambi, the mother dies.
It always seems to be the father/ child relationship.
I thought that was weird, maybe it has something to do with Walt Disney's childhood or something but if you can think of one where the moms involved, tell me!
